Khal Dbrookwood community text messaging and Simcha Hall text line. Effective October 10, 2026.
Who we are
Mr Key NJ LLC ("we") operates the text-messaging services of Khal Dbrookwood, a synagogue at 25 Alaska Ave, Jackson, NJ 08527, on its behalf. This policy covers the community groups and announcements, and the Simcha Hall text line for questions about renting the shul's simcha hall.
What we collect
- Your mobile phone number, and the name you give when you join a group.
- Which groups you belong to.
- The text messages you send to our numbers and our replies.
- For the hall line, booking details you choose to share, such as the kind of simcha, the date, your family name, the number of guests, and whether you daven at the shul.
How we use it
We use your information only to run these services: delivering group messages and announcements, answering your hall questions, managing hall bookings, and contacting you about a booking you asked about. We never send marketing messages. We only text people who joined a group at their own request, texted us first, or signed up on our hall page with the consent box checked.
Who handles your information
- Shul administrators and gabbaim, who manage groups, review hall replies, and manage bookings.
- Telnyx, our messaging provider, which delivers the texts.
- For the hall line only, an AI service (Anthropic) that drafts replies from your messages. A shul administrator reviews replies, and answers to simple general questions may be sent automatically.
These providers use your information only to provide these services to us.
What we never share
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text messages with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as needed to run these services and the shul's records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
Reply STOP to any of our numbers to stop receiving messages from that number, or #LEAVE to leave a community group. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See our Terms of Service.
